Rainbow Room Wedding

Somia and Jared had a beautiful Rainbow Room wedding in New York. It was my first Muslim marriage ceremony and I loved learning about the traditions and customs. Somia wore two stunning gowns by Zara Shahjahan with jewelry from Neemar, and Jared wore a classic black tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore different gowns, but in a complimentary palette ranging from champagne to blush with sequin details.

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Wedding: Emily and Michael

Spring is my favourite season as things start growing, everything slowly turns green and flowers become gloriously abundant! Emily and Michael were married in June in the gorgeous Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. The weather was touch and go with the rain that day, but we managed to have the ceremony outdoors on a paved section of the gardens surrounded by the magnificent lush trees. Their close friend married them and their two brothers stood with them under the simple and elegant chuppah. Emily did not have traditional bridesmaids, but her four good friends helped as ushers and she gifted them personalized jackets.

Wave Hill Wedding

It is always extra special when I get to plan a Wave Hill wedding, as I was married there myself. Even more so when I get to plan it with such a sweet couple who really did things their own way. Sarah and Arjun walked down the aisle together to “The Way You Look Tonight” and they had Sarah’s sister and Arjun’s brother officiate the ceremony overlooking the Hudson River.

The Weylin Wedding

Katie and Paul’s Weylin wedding in Williamsburg was one of my favourite fall weddings. The bridesmaids wore black dresses of their own choosing and they looked so elegant with the groomsmen in their tuxedos. Katie wore a gown by Lela Rose with beautiful textured floral details.

The Knot New York 2018: Winter Wedding at The Foundry

I am over the moon to see Bingqing and Han's intimate winter wedding at The Foundry in The Knot New York 2018 Fall/Winter issue!  Most of our weddings are 100-300 guests, but sometimes we get to plan a small wedding for 48 and it feels extra special.  Take a look at some of the thoughtful details below!  You can read more about the wedding on this blog post too.  Thank you to the The Knot for sharing our work!

Rainbow Room Wedding with Tropical Rose Gold Details

A+A's wedding started out with a lovely invitation suite by Fourteen Forty in navy and rose gold with art deco details inspired by their venue the Rainbow Room.  The invitation to their India wedding was also included in the same suite, with the same colour palette, but a very different design details from the New York invitation.

Fleurs did such an amazing job creating lush tropical greenery and florals ranging from creamy whites and blush pinks at the ceremony to hot pink accents at the reception!  They were married under a stunning ring of florals with hanging globe votives.

Copper and Navy Fall Wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns

Sara and Chris were looking for a bucolic venue not too far from the city, and they found that at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. They were able to host a wedding that felt elegant, seasonal, wild and autumnal. Sara was 6 months pregnant and wore an elegant silk gown with flower appliques from Elisabeth Fillmore. Chris wore a bespoke navy blue Martin Greenfield tuxedo. I loved the flower girl dresses from Isabel Garreton with the navy details. They looked so cute with their crowns incorporating porcelain berries!

A Colourful Weylin Wedding

The Weylin in Williamsburg Brooklyn is such a stunning and unique venue.  Every time I go there I marvel at that ceiling.  I was super excited to work there for this wedding!  The bride loved colour and Putnam & Putnam brought a bold and colourful take to this black tie wedding, while still remaining elegant and refined.  For the palette, they used a variety of shades through red, fuchsia, orange and golden yellow with a touch of purple and plum.  Nine Cakes outdid themselves with a textured buttercream cake, gold painted details, sugar flowers and pink peppercorns (now my new favourite cake detail!).

Monet Inspired Harold Pratt House Wedding

I am dreaming of spring and all these lush Monet inspired florals that Quatre Coeur created for Lindsey and Alan's wedding at the Harold Pratt House.  This elegant townhouse built on the upper eastside in 1920 is one of my favourite venues for an intimate city wedding.  The old world charm and classic details were perfect for this couple that met at Princeton.

Lindsey looked absolutely stunning in a mermaid lace Ines di Santo gown and a cathedral length veil edged with lace.  She loved lilac and even though it isn't an easy flower for a bouquet given the need for water, Ruth from Quatre Coeur still made it happen!  I loved the magnificently lush arrangement she created for the escort table and the romantic garland winding its way up the staircase to the ballroom upstairs.

The cocktail reception took place in the library and Creative Edge designed these serving platters with a cloche covering old linen bound books in the center.  Lindsey and Alan brought their favourite ice cream to the wedding from The Bent Spoon and Creative Edge served these on miniature cones that were a late night hit!  Guests took home jars of jam made by Alan's mother from fruit from her own garden.  I often find with weddings that we have leftover favours at the end of the night, but not with this one!

Thank you to Charlie Juliet for capturing this classic and timeless wedding in the most beautiful way.
