A Colourful Weylin Wedding
The Weylin in Williamsburg Brooklyn is such a stunning and unique venue. Every time I go there I marvel at that ceiling. I was super excited to work there for this wedding! The bride loved colour and Putnam & Putnam brought a bold and colourful take to this black tie wedding, while still remaining elegant and refined. For the palette, they used a variety of shades through red, fuchsia, orange and golden yellow with a touch of purple and plum. Nine Cakes outdid themselves with a textured buttercream cake, gold painted details, sugar flowers and pink peppercorns (now my new favourite cake detail!).
The Foundry Wedding: Bingqing and Han
Bingqing and Han had a Foundry wedding on a snowy winter day! We had really lucked out as there was a big snowstorm the day before. The day of the wedding, the skies were clear, but the ground was blanketed in a bright white layer of fresh snow.
Jewel Toned Rainbow Room Wedding
Rachel and Brian wanted a formal New York City wedding and found the perfect place at the iconic Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Plaza. The stunning views of the city and the gorgeous art deco details in the historic venue made it a sure thing as soon as they saw the space.
Central Park Zoo Wedding
Carly and Xavier were looking for something unique. Perhaps an outdoor wedding or a view of the New York skyline. We managed to find them both of these things at the Central Park Zoo! They had a small ceremony at City Hall and invited their dearest friends and family to party with them at the zoo. A zoo isn't immediately what you think of as wedding worthy, but the Central Park Zoo is a special place. The warm brick columns and the lush green ivy, make it truly beautiful. Carly wore a stunning lace jumpsuit from DVF and carried a lush bouquet of deep red peonies.
Four Seasons Hotel Wedding: Emily and Leon
Emily and Leon had a New York wedding in spring, the same season as when they first started dating. I loved their elegant and timeless style, and the addition of sweet little whimsical touches. Her Monique Lhuillier gown had an intricately beaded bodice and a full ballgown skirt with an asymmetric gather. Emily hand illustrated the save the date herself! She often drew a cartoon bear and lion to represent them as a couple and this illustration made its way to the formal invitation and the Eleni's cookie favours. Blossom and Branch brought spring to the inside of the Four Seasons Hotel with towering cherry blossoms and romantic peonies everywhere, including coral charms, which are such show stoppers. I particularly loved their wedding cake from Nine Cakes with a gold accent tier and a cascade of loose cherry blossoms tinged in gold falling down the cake. Thank you to Brian Hatton for capturing their sweet day!
New York Public Library Wedding
There is nothing quite like a New York Public Library wedding. The majestic building is simply breathtaking. Marti looked a vision in a custom Ulla Maija Anna Maier gown holding a striking bouquet of only deep red peonies as she married Rod in the dramatic Astor Hall. We used ghost chairs for the ceremony. With beautiful lighting from Levy Lighting, it really let the room and architectural details shine. The corridor was lined with glass globes filled with tea lights to lead guests to Celeste Bartos where they dined and danced under a starry night.
Stephanie & David at Blue Hill at Stone Barns
Stephanie knew she wanted to get married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns before she had even seen it in person. When she visited with her then fiance David, they knew it was the perfect spot for them to say their vows and celebrate with their friends and family. It is such a romantic and beautiful place. Treating your guests to a gastronomic experience like this makes it really special!
