Central Park Zoo Wedding— Ang Weddings and Events

Carly and Xavier were looking for something unique. Perhaps an outdoor wedding or a view of the New York skyline. We managed to find them both of these things at the Central Park Zoo! They had a small ceremony at City Hall and invited their dearest friends and family to party with them at the zoo. A zoo isn't immediately what you think of as wedding worthy, but the Central Park Zoo is a special place. The warm brick columns and the lush green ivy, make it truly beautiful. Carly wore a stunning lace jumpsuit from DVF and carried a lush bouquet of deep red peonies.

Guests were invited to cocktails around the sea lion pool and the tropics and penguin exhibits were also open for exploration. As a tribute to her father, Carly had Street Beat Brass Band play New Orleans jazz favourites and the signature drinks were the New Orleans Hurricane and Bloody Mary.

For dinner and dancing, the tent was filled with hundreds of string lights and greenery. Verde Flowers created lush floral arrangements in creams and blush, with striking black vases for the long tables. After a delicious meal from Creative Edge Parties, we had beautiful cake from Nine Cakes and a cheese display for guests to choose from. The cake toppers were batman and batgirl, a costume Carly and Xavier had dressed up in one year for Halloween. The bride used the same cake knife to cut her cake as her mother and father used for their wedding. It still had a bit of icing left over on the edge!
