Valley Rock Inn Wedding: Maureen and Kevin
Maureen and Kevin found a new location at Valley Rock Inn with beautiful grounds for taking photos after the church ceremony. We had to find a new photographer, videographer, hair stylist, makeup artist and wedding cake designer for the new date with 3 weeks to plan. I am so grateful to all these vendors who came on board at the last minute and existing vendors who were flexible with the changes involved, and helped to make Maureen and Kevin’s celebration such a beautiful and fun event!
BRIDES: New York State Just Allowed 150 Guests at Weddings—Will These Events Be Safe?
Governor Cuomo just announced that weddings for up to 50% of the venue capacity up to a maximum of 150 guests will be allowed from March 15 with mandatory testing for all guests. I caught up with Stephanie Cain from BRIDES about this announcement. Read below for some thoughts from local wedding professionals.
Westchester Hudson Valley Weddings Magazine 2021
Many couples had to pivot their wedding plans in 2020, but these micro weddings still worked out so nicely. When the same love and care is put into planning a celebration, you know it will be good. Maureen and Kevin downsized their wedding to 40 and moved venue locations to Valley Rock Inn (Sloatsburg, New York). I helped them to plan it in a mere 3 weeks. Sarah and Nico changed their summer wedding to a celebration with just 12 family members. They had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and dinner at Sarah’s family home. Love can’t be cancelled!
Carats and Cake: Anna and David

BRIDES: Best Wedding Planners in America
What a way to end the year! Ang Weddings and Events was named one of the best wedding planners in America by BRIDES. I am over the moon about this honour. Thank you to Anna Price Olson and the BRIDES team for including us. I loved the introduction they wrote for this piece. Planners have been working so hard this year to support their clients and vendors through the challenges of planning a celebration during COVID-19. I have been so lucky to find myself in an industry where we all worked hard to support each other through uncertain times. I am deeply grateful for the community and acknowledgement. Onwards and upwards!
Mandarin Oriental New York Wedding: Alice and Sanjay
Alice and Sanjay’s double wedding was my last wedding of 2019 and it was quite a celebration to end out the year! Looking back it was also my last wedding before COVID-19. Now looking over these pictures and seeing a celebration of over 200 guests brings with it a whole host of emotions for me. I greatly look forward to the wonderful day when we can get back to these big fabulous weddings in New York City. In the meantime, I hope this recap brings some inspiration to couples out there planning away.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns Wedding with Sunflowers
I have always been fond of sunshine yellow and was so happy to hear that this couple loved it too. For the dinner in the hayloft, Poppies and Posies used delicate yellow sunflowers woven throughout their arrangements of olive, geranium, zinnia, lisianthus, cosmos, dahlia and unripe raspberries. These were displayed in ceramic vases that complimented the beautiful china that Blue Hill at Stone Barns uses.
Four Seasons NYC Wedding: Xi and Eric
Often couples come to me with a venue they already have in mind, but sometimes I get to work with couples right from the beginning. It is really exciting to learn what an engaged couple hopes for and how they want to feel on their wedding day. We looked at some great wedding venues all around NYC and the winner was the Four Seasons Downtown Hotel.

Manhatta Restaurant Rehearsal Dinner: Xi and Eric
Xi and Eric started off their wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner at Manhatta, a restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. First we had the ceremony rehearsal at the Four Seasons Downtown, and then the bridal party walked 10 minutes over to Manhatta. The restaurant is perched on the 60th floor and as a result has incredible views of downtown New York.

Cipriani 42nd Street Wedding
Danielle and Alex’s had an elegant black tie Cipriani 42nd Street wedding in the summer. Alpine Creative designed their classic invitation suite, with black engraving on ivory card, rounded corners and a silver bevelled edge. Danielle wore a lace and jewel encrusted gown by Berta Bridal and Alex wore a classic black tuxedo.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns Wedding: Linden and Jacob
Linden and Jacob's Blue Hill at Stone Barns wedding in the spring was so beautiful that it took forever for me to get this blog post together! I had such a hard time choosing pictures from Heather Waraksa, one of my very favourite photographers. The vendor team we collaborated with produced such exquisite work and Linden and her mom were a joy to work with. Blue Hill at Stone Barns is truly spectacular in June. Everything is so lush and green throughout the property.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns Wedding Video: Anna and David
Anna and David’s spring wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns was captured ever so beautifully by McKenzie Miller Films on video.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns Wedding: Anna and David
Anna always knew she wanted to get married at Blue Hill Stone Barns. She grew up in Irvington and had visited Blue Hill many times to walk the grounds and dine at the restaurant. It was the perfectly fitting for her to have a Blue Hill at Stone Barns wedding over Memorial Day weekend.

A Brooklyn Wedding
J&C were married on the water at Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The weather was not cooperating with us that day with a steady drizzle all morning. However it cleared up just in time for us to setup the the ceremony outdoors and for the portraits to happen outside. A million thanks to Poppies and Posies for making it happen outside with a tight setup time!
Goodbye to 2019
2019 has been a wonderful year! Thank you to the 8 couples who entrusted me with planning their weddings at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons Downtown and Cipriani. It is always an honour to be part of such a special occasion. Often the best day in your life before you have children!
